Hexagons - In Memory of Valma McMurray

£6.00

In April 2026, after 90 years, my Granny passed away.

To the world, she was an award-winning quilter and patch-worker, a voracious reader, a jewellery collector and a chip-stealing fiend. But to me, Granny Val was my mentor, my inspiration, my guiding light. She taught me to sew, to see the world beyond my doorstep, to be myself, ruthlessly, and to always look for the good in people.

This poetry collection is a tribute to her and her life. Named after her quilting signature, “Hexagons” explores grief, and the love that is left behind. You can never know the ripples that you will leave behind, but this collection invites you to explore Valma’s.

Full-colour zine, 32 pages.
